This post is being dominated by birds! Mom found a mother killdeer in the field by our house so I went out and snapped some pictures. While I was out there, I noticed that the geese had the goslings in the pond, so I head over there and got some great shots. What is your favorite? I can't decide...as usual!

Hi Lauren,

You know how much I like birds (I have chicks due to hatch in the incubator today!!!)

But my favorite photo this time is the boot in the stirrup.
I can picture you riding and having a wonderful time.

Love,
Mom
p.s. you saw too that Mrs. Kildeer now has 4 eggs in the nest.
Her nest is in the bean field and the farmer that rents is gonna be plowing soon :-(
I put orange cones around her but had to take them away so the farmer didn't have to go around her. Grandpa said to hope the tire misses the nest....I'm worried about her and her 4 little darlings :-(

Great pictures. I'm with your mom though in liking the boot picture best. :) It could be any girl's boot. But what adventure is she having? Where is she going? Who will she meet and what will be the outcome?

By the way, how often do you post? Everyday? Randomly? Just thought I'd check.

Thanks! The boot one was just a random shot...I didn't even realize it turned out until I got it on the computer. It does open tons of opportunities for imagination! Short stories here we come!! I think the tire track one has some of that too.
I try to post something everyday if I have time. I have lots of post planned in advance. I'm trying to be more organized it posting. Photo Friday was a result of that effort and so far its been a real hit with a lot of people. I'll probably be starting more themed posts like that.

I like how the geese look so happy as a family. Also, I like the Killdear protecting her eggs - sure hope they make it.

All of the pictures were taken with my phone except for the ones of the geese and the killdeer. I used the family camera for those. Watch for next weeks post...its.going to be good! I'm really excited about it.
