Coffee, books and horses--*these are a few of my favorite things*! Anyone want to join me? :)
Usually when I take pictures, I am just snapping whatever happens to catch my eye. I am not good at actually setting up a scene and working to get the best shot of it.
So I set out to try something new.
I had gotten this wool blanket(I think it's wool...it's scratchy!) just about a week ago and thought it looked like the perfect beginning to a mini photo shoot.
I used my grandparents cabin as the setting, borrowed a tin cup from my grandma's décor inside, used my glasses and one of my favorite books. How do you think it turned out?
I snapped a few pictures of the horses on my way back. I really love this picture of Abby's eye. I don't often get good pictures of her but I really liked the tones in this one.

Beautiful pictures, Lauren! I think they’d make great post art if you were to talk about productivity or reading or something along those lines!

I just recently came across your blog and site (found you through a comment you put on Alicia A. Willis's blog). I was quite intrigued by the similarities between us.
- You are just older than me
- From MI—I spent my first 11 years there and still call it home, even though I currently live in New Zealand
- Wear a veil
- Love writing
- Have a 15-year-old brother named Seth—the next youngest in our family is a boy, Seth, and he’s 15

There may be a couple others, but I can’t remember them right now. Anyway, glad to make your aquaintance!

I’m a Jesus-serving sister of six brothers and finally now a sister—waited a while for her. As a family, we moved here to New Zealand in 2009 to tell others about the Lord. Since then, I’ve learned to love writing.
(that’s the short version of who I am)

Many blessings,
Esther

...of course Ashwin-!!! It's good to experiment... I bought this painting from the animal humane gift shop- it was still painting- I'll have to send you a photo of it- it just struck something in me--Nick did not feel the same way about it--- or does he about my wild sunflower painting!!! But that's Nick for ya!!!-

Simply lovely! The colors are so vibrant, and I love the horse images too. In fact, I'll end up pinning some of your photographs :) Thanks for sharing!
