With all the snow, I haven't gotten out to take pictures like usual, but I did manage to get some after a major snow storm swept through, leaving a lot of snow behind!
I've been taking a lot of pictures of the birds and squirrels that visit the feeder just outside my bedroom window. They are so energetic it's hard to get good pictures, but I've managed to get a few :)
My sister's cat sits on the window sill and watches as the critters eat. The feeder is actually attached to the sill on the outside so he gets a front row seat! The squirrels know he can't get them and enjoy teasing him!
I have a lot of favorites this week, but I love the top shot of Bannie. He would much rather stay out in the elements versus going into his run in, so this is how he usually looks in the winter....and he seems perfectly happy and warm. I love the steam cloud in front of him.
I also like the shot below of the sparrow. I titled this shot "Leap of Faith". One of those once in a lifetime shots!
The close up of the squirrel and of Levi's face are next in line.
Any favorites this week?

Were these pictures recent? If so, I'm jealous. :) Today we are having temperatures in the upper 60s. But I want a good snowfall!
The pictures that captured me this time are the snowy roads going into the woods. There is so much possibility for a story or and adventure in them. :)

Yes, they were all taken this past Monday. Only a little more snow has fallen since, but none has melted so I think we are in for a long spell of deep snows :) I do enjoy the snow, but I would love a day or two of the sixties!!
That's why I love photography and writing....so many good stories can come from a photo :)

This makes me feel cold! Super images, especially the ones of the birds, such bright colouring! :-)

Somehow the note I wrote that was supposed to be in this post did not show up....I didn't realize it wasn't there at first so I apologize for the lack of explanation!

Love the pictures! There are some really good ones in there! My two favorites are the lane with the silos and the cardinal pic. Great Job!

There are too many beautiful shots to pick a favorite - I do love all the birds ones especially well. Rio is getting so big.

He is growing so fast! He's almost as tall as his mother already!

I also like the road with the silos....I got a kick out of Rebekah liking the "road" into the woods....which is our trail from our home to the farm and then Ann liking the "lane" with the silos and that is actually the main road that the farm is on but with the snow so deep it actually looks likes a lane......very obvious to us living here but they are very deceiving with the snow.

...cold is right! BRRRR- it's amazing how horses don't seem bothered by it...it must be in their dna--- Bannie (is it also Bannie 2nd from the bottom?) I like them both and Levi's photo--he seems to be just as content as the last horse photo! Picasso our first family dog loved the snow- we have photos of Nick and Sirena playing in the snow w/him. The temp here in NM is 69 degrees---although in the mountains- Nick said people were still able to ski- LOL- we even have to make our own snow- for the slopes. Sounds strange huh? Have fun in the snow--try to keep warm- hugs & more hugs to all. P.s. can't resist the squirrel photo- 'it's all mine- happy little guy.'

There is still lots of skiing and sledding going on around here!
Thought I do enjoy the cold and snow, I'm slightly jealous of your warm temps!
That is Rio in the second to last photo...he is quickly catching up to Bannie in size though!
Love to all of you.
