Last Saturday Dad, Grandpa, Seth and Levi fired up some of the old tractors and hitched up the two and three bottom plows and headed over to the five acres we own about three miles from where we currently live to plow. We use that field to produce the hay we need for our horses for the winter.
It was cold!! But it was fun. My uncle, Greg, showed up after awhile so we had quite a crew working.
These pictures were all taken as we were getting everything ready, then on to the plowing. Lots of fun memories :)
I love so many of these pictures its terribly hard to pick a favorite but I like the one of Seth plowing. What's yours?

It is hard to pick... I'd have to say I like the one of the two tractors plowing side by side, and the one of the plowed up dirt has a really cool angle.

Great fun, it must be very satisfying to plough with the old machinery.
Favourite picture? There are one or two but the one that stands out is the 3rd from last with the two tractors passing each other. A close 2nd though is the chocolate labrador, it looks a great dog!!

Lots of great photos...my favorite too is the two tractors passing each other....just made me break into a big smile.
Close second is the corn tassels blowing in the wind.

I like them all, but I really like the one where the yellow tractor is next to the green one & they are plowing in different directions. And also the close up of the John Deere Tractor (Is that Seth on it) haven't seen him in a long time. Anyway that is a great shot. You do terrific photos!

Yes Mary, that is Seth on the John Deer and Levi on the orange one....they are both taller than me now!!!
The dog is Jake, Tom's brother Greg's dog...that is Greg snickering at Lauren.

...the plowed field---over turned earth is like a fresh start w/a mix of old and a new crop to begin...also the passing of the tractors- I remember riding on one on the farm...it's fun---I didn't do the hard work- I just enjoyed riding on them..
