We haven't decided on a name yet.
Lena had a little boy sometime in the night. They found him this morning when they went out to do chores...up and dry. He doesn't look anything like either of his parents. He's really cute and wow...does he ever have long legs!! He's such a cute little mule. We haven't decided on a name yet. Here's a picture of his daddy, Luke.

How cute!! I always heard that a horse baby will change colors as they get older. Kinda like a human baby that is born with blue eyes. Maybe he will change out color some too! Congrats, and how fun!! Handle him a lot now so he is gentle!

Yes, he will probably change color as he gets older. We will definitely be working on imprinting him the next few days and weeks. We are planning on keeping him and training him to ride in the future. Can't wait to see how he turns out!

Yes, he is a cutie. His color is different from both parents - I do like his color with the little white on his forehead. You will have so much fun training him.

I really like his coloring too. I'm hoping he doesn't change much as he gets older. I'm looking forward to training him. It will be a great experience.

Yes, his mother is a qrt. horse and his father is a donkey, therefore he is a mule! If his mother had been the donkey and the father the horse, he wouldn't be called a mule...I can't remember the other name but it was interesting the difference which parent was which made.
