Book #2 is Coming!

I made the leap, or rather, Dad made it for me and we have ordered the publishing package for the second book! Now begins the editing!
There is still a lot of work to do before it will be ready, but if I stick at it, hopefully it will be published by next spring. I'll keep the blog up to date on its progress.
I'm doing a book signing at the local museum in the old one room school house during their annual car show. I'm looking forward to it...there should be a lot of people there and they mentioned that I would be there in two different newspapers.
I'll be posting an excerpt from Whisper tomorrow along with a new cover design.

That's wonderful about your second book. I was wondering how many horses you currently have, and who rides each.
I love keeping up with your blog, and I'm looking forwards to your next post on whisper :)

Hi Bethany,
Thanks! I'm very pleased you enjoy my blog!
We have five horses and a young mule. I have two horses, Bannie and Smoke. Smoke is my main ride and I only take Bannie out occasionally. He gives trail rides to company sometimes.
My brother Levi has a mare named Abby and my sister, Lydia has a mare named Lena. Lena is Rio the mule's mother. (she was bred to a donkey, hence the mule) and then there is Ashwin, our little foster child :) He's basically mine because I'm the only one that words with him. If I can train him to suit, he might become Levi's horse or my mom's horse. We're not sure yet.
Blessings!

Thanks,
I found some pictures on your family blog, you have a beautiful farm, and I loved seeing the pictures of all your horses.

I also watched your videos. I love the one of you on Smoke taking a gallop in the field. Smoke seems like my kind of horse :) has plenty of spirit (and loves to run) but is well behaved. What a blessing :)

Smoke is incredible! She is the best horse I've ever owned and she helped me gain back my confidence after my accident. She does LOVE to run, but is so good and well behaved.
I've been working on my bareback riding skills and she is the only one I fee comfortable loping bareback because of how controllable she is, even though she is our fastest horse! It seems we have the same taste in horses!!

Riding bareback is my absolute favorite way to ride, I love that feeling where your not just on the horse your attached to it. I hope you'll post some pictures of you riding bareback. I haven't ridden bareback in a long time, I miss it a lot.

I had just started really getting into bareback riding when I had my accident and I didn't feel confident enough to get back to it until just recently, but it is great! I so love riding without the hindrance of a saddle...just you and the horse.
I did a post last week I believe with some pictures of me riding Smoke bareback...I'm working on a video of us bareback too :)
