This is Bannie, the horse that Amy's gelding is named and patterned after.
For years I had wanted a solid black horse that I could name Black Banner. Five months after I started Book #1 of The Christian Cowgirl Adventure Series, I found Bannie :) He is quirky, stubborn and sometimes downright moody, but he's my buddy and we are very close. At almost twenty years old, he is still going strong and although he would prefer to do nothing but sit around and eat, he does enjoy giving rides occasionally, especially to little children.
